Homer
Kaleidoscope version 2.1 or higher
(get it here)
A monitor capable of displaying
at least 256 colors or 16 shades of gray
Anything else that is a requirement
of Kaleidoscope
I recommend a 68040 or PowerPC
processor to handle the windows better, but anything above a 68020 will
work
I also recommend using Mac OS
8.5 or higher to be able to use the wonderful 32-bit icons (anything lower
will have the standard Mac OS icons)

To install PowerBook OS, put it anywhere on your hard drive. To activate it double-click on it and if you have System 7.x then restart your computer. If you experience problems, make sure PowerBook OS is on the same disk as Kaleidoscope.

PowerBook OS is a color scheme for the control panel Kaleidoscope (www.kaleidoscope.net), which totally overhauls the Mac OS (Macintosh Operating System) appearence. I suggest using the font Charcoal or Homer (my font included with the scheme) as your system font.

PowerBook OS is freeware. This means that you don't have to pay anything for it... ever... just because I'm a nice guy. I would appreciate if you emailed me and tell me what you think. I can be reached at mikebalonek@mac.com. Also, if you find any problems with it please inform me so I can pass along the message until I can get it fixed.
